Finally! We finally have an answer which seems to be, for the time being, final. Brett Favre says he is done because he feels that his body will not be able to handle another NFL season.

It took awhile and I can't blame him after players like Adrian Peterson and Jared Allen asking Favre to comeback to lead them to a Super Bowl, but he has come to the decision that he doesn't want to do it again.

So from the looks of it Favre thinks his body would not be able to handle an entire season or even another post season so he has decided to call it quits.

Now the madness starts for Michael Vick outside of prison and house arrest.

There is still no word on whether NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will let Vick play or suspend the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, but this is where it starts to get interesting as we find out which teams might actually take a chance on signing Vick.

Personally, I think the Oakland Raiders would be the spot for him as they always seem to take chances like this. The New England Patriots would be the better decision in terms of actually going to a team that has Super Bowl aspirations, but the Raiders could be the right fit if Vick is up for becoming a running back/wideout/kick returner.

Should be interesting to see who is willing to take that chance.

It hasn't happen yet, but it is a good possibility. Every team in the NFL  with the exception of New England and Indianapolis have seem to have been mentioned at one time or another in the Jay Cutler saga as possible destinations for the unhappy Pro Bowler.

The problem is, there is no real equal value in return for the Denver Broncos when they trade him.

Yeah, if the Matt Cassel deal actually went down where Cassel made it to Denver then that was a good deal done, but no other team can give you a franchise quarterback in return for a franchise quarterback including the New York Jets.

Even if the Jets still had Brett Favre the trade value isn't even close to enough. It may sell a lot of tickets, but that is a one and done season kind of deal that doesn't secure the Broncos future at the position.

Where will he land? Who knows, but it will be interesting to see what Denver can get out of the deal besides regret.

There are only two names in the NFL that have been floating around the last couple of weeks after the majority of high priced free agents got signed and they are Julius Peppers and Jay Cutler.

Trades happen in every sport, it is just part of the game, but one sport that rarely trades players is the NFL. In the NBA and NHL players get traded all the time, the trade deadline is a big deal, but in the NFL players only get traded do to bad blood.

This offseason has been filled with primetime players going elsewhere or signing enormous deals to stay with their current team, but the name Jay Cutler was never even a consideration for doing either, at least until Josh McDaniels came to Denver to replace Mike Shanahan.

Reportedly, McDaniels had developed a very good bond with Matt Cassel in New England. This bond between player and coach was so tight that McDaniels chose to put everything on the line and deal his new franchise quarterback in Jay Cutler for his former franchise quarterback in Matt Cassel.

On paper, after the two seasons these great quarterbacks had this deal doesn't look all that bad, but Cutler is a superstar figure in Denver and the first quarterback that actually has a chance at filling John Elway's shoes.

Dumb move to say the least. Yes, Cassel is a great up and coming quarterback in the NFL, but he couldn't have made a worse move to start his career in the shadow of a Denver legend in Shanahan.

Although no deals are in place after Cutler openly demanded to be traded from the Broncos, rumors are starting to go around that he might end up in Tampa Bay where he would have ended up if the three way deal bringing Cassel to Denver would have happened originally.

Some people are saying he will go to Detroit for the number one draft pick, but now the Bucs are in the mix as well.

A couple of years ago the San Francisco 49ers seemed like they were making all the right moves to get back to their dominant ways in the NFC.

They weren't exactly being compared to Joe Mantana's team or even Steve Young's, but they were looking to become a promising young team being built around quarterback Alex Smith.

Smith came into the NFL as one of the best young quarterbacks the league had seen in quite some time, but he wasn't able to transend his game into the NFL. Smith had all the weapons with a decent receiving core lead by a great young tight end Vernon Davis and a solid running game with Frank Gore.

Unfortunately for Smith and company there hopes of getting the Niners back to dominant status came up short with only Frank Gore being the bright spot by the Bay.

Things have started to change a bit in San Francisco though as they have turned over the team to Mike Singletary who has already made some much needed changes. The problem still remains that they just don't have a franchise quarterback, but they have decided to give Smith one more go around by keeping him on in the new era of 49ers football.

I know it seems like not that long ago that dog killer quarterback Michael Vick went to jail, but he won't be in there much longer and will be looking to resurrect his career somewhere if any team is willing to take on his baggage via trade with the Atlanta Falcons.

Even though I think what he did was terrible, being the dog lover I am, he is still a very good football player that can help almost any team in the NFL. He may never be able to play behind center for any team again because I am sure no team wants someone like Vick as the face of their franchise, but with as versitiale as Vick is he can play anything from running back to wide receiver to kick return.

There are plenty of teams out there right now that could use a quarterback like Vick. The Detroit Lions are in desperate need of some stability at quarterback and the Kansas City Chiefs haven't had a decent quarterback since Joe Montana.

Although he is a scumbag, I am pretty sure the Falcons will find someone to take him off their hands.

This football game has to go to the Giants.  They seem to be on track for another Super Bowl Run.   They always seem to come from behind to win.  I have won some nice change on the Giants this yr. and cannot go away from a good thing.  Put some Change in your pocket and take the Giants -3  over  the Carolina Panthers.

NCAA Bowl Game  Music City Bowl  Dec 31     Taking BC -3.5 over Vande.   These are really 2 very matched teams, but I think BC will prevail.  Vande has slipped a little in the 2nd half of the season, and BC has looked good the past few games.  Won't say they are peaking, but I do think they are the better team right now.

My prediction is that the Giants will be one of the teams in the Superbowl.  They probably are the best team in the NFL right now.  They should have no trbl with Philly.   It seems every week they get better.  They will not be beat by a team that is just average.  Mc Nabb will not beable to compete with Manning, not even sure he will play. Seems to go week to week.  Take  the Giants -8

Boise St has been good for me the whole season, can't give up on them now.  They should just crush Fresno St..  I can't understand Fresno St this year.  I think everyone thought they would be better.  This is there last game of the season and they really have nothing to play for.   This win and a big win would mean alot to Boise St.. Getter Done.    Boise St  -20
